With the digital marketing space going downhill at the time, JVZoo founders decided it was time to make a drastic change and so in 2011, the affiliate marketing platform was launched. And while it did achieve significant results, it still lacked trust with some affiliates.

But then it grew from just a startup to the big affiliate platform we now know with over 800,000 affiliates currently on the platform. It also boasts of about 18 million products being sold and even getting featured on the Inc 5000 list. Which is quite remarkable for an affiliate brand with a lot of competitors.

But the platform isn’t entirely perfect as those stats indicated. Over the years affiliate marketers have found some factors on the platform that warrants complaint. In this post, we will be taking a look at some of the downsides of this platform and how to file a complaint to JVZoo.

First, let’s take a look at some of the downsides that may require a complaint submission.

Account Activation Process

Now, while the account sign-up process is easy, the activation process isn’t quite the same. As with every other affiliate platform out there, the sign-up process is the same. It’s a four step process where you fill in your name, address, email address, and password.

Once down you get started, at least that’s what we know right?  No, the process gets complicated when you have to tender a means of payment. And most affiliates choose PayPal which happens to be the best form of receiving payment but not exactly the easiest.

During the signup process, you will be required to upgrade your PayPal to a business account or Payoneer account before completing the sign-up process. But this can be bypassed, but new affiliates might not know this. And you might need to contact JVZoo on how this works.

JVZoo have lost a lot of affiliates due to this error on their sign-up page. There’s an icon on the signup page with no name where this can be bypassed, and affiliates can complete their registration.

Refund Policy

The refund policy has been a constant issue on the platform. Most buyers do not get refunded by sellers who promote bad products. Bad products and fraudulent sellers are now rampant on the platform and buyers are often the sad victims.

Most sellers refuse to refund payments made by buyers. To an extent, this isn’t the fault of JVZoo, but a buyer will have to submit a complaint to the JVZoo team since the seller is on the platform. It is the responsibility of JVZoo to keep the platform safe for every user.

Bad Products

It is now common to see complaints of sellers promoting bad products to buyers. After purchase, a buyer will then realize that such a product is bad and isn’t worth the money. This will likely require you to file a complaint as a buyer and get refunded your money.

Again most buyers believe it is the fault of JVZoo since these sellers get approval on their platform but still offer bad products to buyers. Therefore, buyers are meant to file a complaint to JVZoo if the seller does not respond or agree to a refund.

How to file a complaint to JVZoo

The easiest way to file a complaint to JVZoo is through their contact page on the platform website. On the contact page, there’s a form titled “SUBMIT A REQUEST”. This form can be used by every user on the platform; buyers, sellers, and affiliates.

  • First, you will have to fill in your email address.
  • Fill in your name. The same is used in your account.
  • Next, you will have to select If you are a seller, buyer, or affiliate. On the form, it is specified that if you want to know more about a product you should fill it as a customer.
  • The next step is to fill in the subject of your complaint. Here you get to fill in what the subject of your complaint is about. It can be on the sale of a bad product or a refund policy.
  • Now, write up your complaint or query. Be sure to be precise and straight to the point.
  • Next, fill in your JVZoo account email address.
  • Fill in the JVZoo transaction ID.
  • Lastly, include an attachment if there’s any. This could be a photo, screenshot, video, or file.
  • Once done, hit the submit button and your complaint is sent.

The JVZoo customer care team is fast and responsive. Dependent on the day you sent the complaint and formal holiday, you should get a reply within a few working days.
