How to Write an Application Letter to a Nursery and Primary School

Welcome to Asknaij. I will be showing you how to write an application letter to a nursery and primary school for the position of teacher.

In Nigeria, so many school leavers are aiming to return to the classroom this time not as a student but as a teacher.

In this process, an appropriate application letter is required.

Why you need a good application letter:

  • The wrong letter format will give a bad impression on the school proprietor or principal.
  • You need to convince the principal since other people will also apply for the same position.
  • You need to include the right criteria in the letter to present yourself as the right person for the job.

With that said, we all know that what we’re writing is a formal letter. Look below to see a sample:

Your full name

Your house address

Date

Your phone number

The School Proprietor

(School address)

I promise to give my best if given positive consideration.

After writing you’re expected to put it in a brown envelope and address it to the school proprietor.

The above is a basic sample of the later, depending on you experience in the teaching field and the degrees you’ve acquired your letter can contain more than the above.
